Today was a discussion based on bring your own devices for students in schools.
We also had a look at some of the possible BYOD's that teachers could potentially see in the classroom one day.
The discussion was based on if BYOD is a better option for students rather than the school supplies the laptops for the students. In my opinion, I think it would be good for the school to supply the students with laptops so that everyone is able to get the same programs and if there are any adaptors needed in some circumstances ect.
However, this isn't the case with schools who have limited money or funding. You would have to think of creative ways to make music with technology. But then again, Brad Fuller once said that instruments are a form of technology. It is now the discussion of "what is technology?". In my opinion, technology is something to help you achieve your goals.
In the class, there were the new MacBook pros but then there were also those really old Microsoft computers too. It really put it into perspective that you could come across a lot of technologies from old- new.
